职位介绍: Key responsibilities: • Engineer products assigned to you within a set time frame and in accordance with the IEC, CE and NA (IEC60598, UL1598, UL2108, UL153) standards and relevant market directives such as Eco Design, EMC, RoHS, REACH, RED, SASO, PSE, ADA, FCC and T24(CEC). • Produce engineering drawings and product specifications for quotation, manufacturing, and Quality Assurance purposes. • Liaise with manufacturers during the development and production process, to ensure the quality and accuracy of the design specification is maintained and accurate. • Liaise with the Quality Department to provide support when required for products in production. • Complete sample evaluation reports and communicate the findings with our manufacturers. • Generate and maintain required technical files for each product, in the product lifecycle management system – Fusion Lifecycle. • Where needed visit manufacturers within Astro’s supply chain across China. • Report and escalate, where appropriate, issues and obstacles that affect the projects being worked on. • Liaise with supplier liaison managers within the Astro China office. • Carry out assigned research projects that support the development of future product development when required. • Report project progress on a weekly basis. • Create and manage Change Orders for product improvements and upgrades. • Work with Suppliers directly to find where cost can be removed from an existing design without effecting quality or appearance of the product. • Carry out any additional tasks requested by the Design Director or Head of Product Development. Key knowledge, experience, and skills: • 2+ years' experience working as a Product Design Engineer in Lighting Products. • Understand the need for and carry out product testing. • Understand the need to work to relevant lighting standards and familiar with IEC, UL,EMC and FCC standards and regulations. • Have worked with various manufacturing processes suitable for mass production within the lighting industry. • Knowledge of Solid Works CAD software. • Ability to produce engineering drawings to IEC standards. • A good level of written and spoken English is required for this role.
