- Member of the "Components" team. Responsibility for every engineering aspect during localization projects in China and in Asia along the nomination and product development process for the engine, battery, periphery and all the powertrain components from scouting, nomination to releases, SOP and series production. Local supplier qualification from an engineering aspect and build-up of a qualified supplier pool in Asia for conventional and electric powertrain systems and components engines, batteries and periphery as well as E/E-components. Ensure efficient communication of technical issues and support discussions with and at local suppliers. Major Responsibilities: * You will be responsible for the EMC development of high-voltage and Power electronics components in electric drives. * Starting with the adoption of concepts from the early phase, you will support the development process and content implementation until series use of the components in vehicles. * You will coordinate the specification requirements with your process partners inside the company and via suppliers and validate them in terms of consistency with the overall system and, if necessary, resolve conflicts of objectives. * During the development process, you continuously assess the EMC maturity of the HV components, both for internal and external suppliers and thus provide the safe and consistent implementation of EMC aspects in line with requirements. * In your role, you are responsible for approving the EMC scope and continuously reporting the current EMC status to the hardware project manager. * For inhouse development you create EMC concepts for HV components, derive component requirements and develop suitable solutions and also assess unit tests and carry out EMC measurements. * Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising, planning, managing and approving EMC development scopes from external suppliers. * Coordinating system and overall vehicle EMC, geometric integration, manufacturing, testing and validation with your process partners, are completing your versatile tasks. Qualifications: * You have successfully completed a master’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar course of study and have very profound knowledge of automotive and power electronics with a focus on EMC. * You have experience in the EMC evaluation of complex circuits, are familiar with EMC-compliant design and layout with EMC properties of active as well as passive components. * You have the expertise to evaluate the topologies and circuit design in power electronics as well in analog as in digital technology regarding EMC. * You know the common assembly and connection techniques, technologies, and lifetime/damage mechanisms in power electronics. * You already have several years of practical professional experience in the development of electronics / power electronic components in the automotive sector. * You already have experience in cooperation with suppliers and to derive requirements. * We expect an independent, careful, and target-oriented way of working, analytical thinking as well as a strong sense of responsibility and resilience, even in stressful situations. * Very good English language skills, team skills and communication skills should be a matter of course for you.
