- General Purpose of the Position: 80 The position needs to focus customer and give support to promote lean culture through continuous improvement projects. Need to be engaged in transformation projects, Responsible for Continuous Improvement Workshop or other projects to improve critical business processes that drive financial results. The position will be asked to train and lead NPS standard development. Major Responsibilities: 80 Support to promote lean culture within organization. 80 NPS standard development in Plt 80 Responsible for all kinds of waste elimination projects, applying continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory and cost to deliver lean change in Nexteer Production System. 80 Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy. 80 Conduct regular lean concept/tool training, support in drafting streamline workflow, and proposals on continuous improvement to enhance overall efficiency of organization operation. 80 Ensure multi-channel communication throughout the organization. 80 Other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor. Owner for Lean Culture 61 Be a continuous improvement promoter in the site, lead and spread the lean culture. 61 Responsible for promotion of lean thinking, people mindset change, and providing the lean training to all employees. Establish high work standards to maintain and improve productivity. 61 Support executing lean assessments at different level of factories, facilities, departments, processes. Work on operation efficiency problem and identify improvement opportunities in all areas, for overall productivity improvement, analyze, balance, and optimize the production process. 61 Organize lean activities to identify, transfer and deploy lean best practices, and then develop a simple visualized and standardized lean implementation process-flow, which could facilitate efficiency improvements, cost reductions and cycle time reductions Driver for Result Delivery 61 Support lean metrics development and the continuous improvement project selection process. Keep evaluate, track and improve the overall Suzhou site lean manufacturing level, and co-operates with global lean team for site lean performance assessment. 61 Organize and conduct the lean workshop and lead improvement activities to achieve plant annual continuous improvement target, through elimination all kinds of waste without or with limited additional investment. 61 Keep tracking the open tasks, follow it to close, and regularly review with site management team for the progress. 61 Push the lean implementation cross all functions in the whole company, offer professional suggestion to guide the relevant departments for quick improvement through lean thinking. 61 If required, work together with GSM team to develop and implement lean manufacturing in key strategic supplier manufacturing plants, to achieve healthy and sustainable cost reduction sharing. Trainer & Coacher 61 Support establishing systems, structures, tools to manage the overall planning, design, implementation/execution, and sustainment of our continuous improvement initiatives. Document all the best practice and maintain the information, then exchange best lean practices inside or outside of Nexteer global. 61 Responsible to develop and update training material and manual, and regularly conduct lean training sessions, for lean members, operators and company staffs to drive the overall awareness and knowledge level for site. Be able to translate the major concepts and philosophy of lean to all level of employees. 61 Will teach and facilitate the use of various disciplined problem solving tools, team effectiveness techniques and drive the workshop participants to implement lean tools, using lean methodologies and solutions that will achieve real and sustainable improvements and saving in Nexteer Suzhou’s manufacturing capacity, quality and cost. Skills and Abilities/Qualification: 80 Passion for manufacturing excellence, never give up mindset and self-motivated 80 Ability to work under multi-culture, dynamic, stressful environment 80 Strong analysis abilities,positive attitude to change,must be result oriented 80 Skilled in project management, conflict and change management within a manufacturing organization 80 Able to show good communication and influence cross function team members in all levels of an organization. 80 Organizational skills to accurately extract, interpret, and display data. Presentation skills to concisely update management on key initiatives and results. 80 Bachelor Degree holder in Science & Engineering or relevant disciplines 80 Priority for IE or Lean background Experience: 80 3~5 years working experience in production management in manufacturing industry, automotive industry is a plus 80 Preference for practical and hands-on experience with implementing lean in office and shop-floor environments and knowledge of six sigma methods and tools to drive cycle time, cost savings and quality improvements. 80 Familiar with lean tools and six-sigma concepts, including but not limited to 5S, Visual Management, TPM, VSM, Pull system, Leveling Schedule, Quick Chang Over and etc.. 80 Systemic training or education in lean and six-sigma tools will be a preference 80 Very fluent in both written and oral English
